Website Traffic in Hosting Panel (Analyze Tab)

All hosted websites in the Hosting Panel include built-in technical traffic counters by default.

You can find them in the website view under Analyze.

Goal

Use these counters for technical monitoring and basic traffic trend checks in your hosting environment.

Main counters

  • Total bandwidth: total data transfer generated by website traffic in the selected period.
  • Total hits: total number of server requests (not only page views).
  • Unique visits: a deduplicated estimate of unique traffic sources.

What "total hits" means

Total hits is a server-level counter and usually includes many request types, for example:

  • HTML page requests
  • Images, CSS, JavaScript, fonts, and other assets
  • API/background requests
  • Automated traffic such as crawlers and bots

Because of this, total hits is usually much higher than the number of real people who visited the website.

Hosting counters vs SiteForge Analytics

Hosting Panel counters are useful for technical monitoring.

If you need clearer audience-focused insights, use SiteForge Analytics.

For metric definitions, see the Analytics Metrics Glossary.

Quick check

  1. Open your website in Hosting Panel > Analyze.
  2. Select a recent date range.
  3. Compare trends between bandwidth, hits, and unique visits.
