Website Migration

You can migrate websites from another hosting provider to SiteForge.

Before migration​

  1. Prepare full backup of files and database at the source host.
  2. Collect current DNS records and email-related records.
  3. List critical website functions to test after migration.

Migration steps​

  1. Create the destination website and database in Hosting Panel.
  2. Upload website files using File Manager, FTP, or SSH.
  3. Import the database.
  4. Update website configuration (database credentials and base URLs if required).
  5. Test website functionality on the destination environment.
  6. Update DNS records to point to SiteForge.

Post-migration checks​

  • SSL certificate is active and HTTPS works.
  • Forms and transactional flows are working.
  • Email-related features send and receive correctly.
  • No major errors appear in logs.
